Get Involved with our Coalitions
Join our coalitions for access to decades of strategic, political, and legislative know-how, combined with a keen understanding of trade association culture and issues. Our well-targeted coalitions serve to publicize views, communicate effectively with government leaders, work cooperatively with public servants, broaden bases of support, and increase allied efforts. We are member-driven, so we will pursue dialogue & events with people and offices with whom YOU want to meet.
Why should I join?
Our coalitions can help you open doors that you might not get opened on your own– or that you just don’t have the time to knock on. Our coalitions will help you network with other trade association leaders on a regular basis. Our coalitions will provide you with the opportunity to shine in front of VIP legislators or government agency leaders or to blend unnoticed in a crowd.
The Manufacturing Action Council (MAC) was created in 2010 to increase awareness by policy-makers of the critical role that manufacturing plays in the U.S. economy. MAC fosters public policy that supports a robust and growing domestic manufacturing sector. MAC arranges individual meetings between industry trade association executives and Members of Congress, Administration officials, opinion leaders, and others. MAC membership is open to trade association executives representing manufacturing industries.
The Trade Association Leadership Council (TALC) members are chief executive officers of 35-40 premier American trade associations who meet monthly in informal, bipartisan, off-the-record sessions to discuss public policy issues. The membership actively builds coalitions for economic growth, international trade and other important policy issues. A huge swathe of American industry sectors are represented in TALC, as well as tens of millions of American employers and workers. TALC began in 1981.
The Regulatory Improvement Council (RIC) has a more than 25-year track record of successfully helping to shape the federal regulatory system. Like TALC and MAC, RIC has been proudly bipartisan from inception, and has worked with every Presidential Administration since President Reagan. RIC promotes worker safety, sound science, and a growth economy that operates under a transparent, cohesive regulatory framework.
